At least in my opinion, the United States has the courage to satirize domestic realities.

  As the biggest and most powerful country in the world, the USA always beenconsidered insurmountable. But as the No.1 of our world. The USA always have the most attention from others countries. But at least in my opinion, the have the courage to satirize themselves.

    Talking to agenda-setting, I think in this flim this theory had a good reflect. What is agenda-setting? In my word, agenda-setting is they can't control how do you think about this, but they can control what issue you can see. Just like in 1:42:52 of this movie, you will found that the TV host always make fan of the professor, don't care about how much damage this comet will cause. What this size? It is beautiful? But just don't care about this comet will destroy the earth thought the professor said it well destroy the world.

     In this movie, we can find other theory, such as spiral of silence and pseudo-environment.

     Talk about spiral of silence, we can see that if people feel that their views are a minority in the public, they will not be willing to spread their views; and if they feel that their views are consistent with the majority, they will speak out bravely. Moreover, the media usually pays attention to the views of the majority and despises the views of the minority. As a result, the voices of the minority are getting smaller and smaller, and the voices of the majority are getting louder and louder, forming a spiral pattern.

    The source of the motivation for public opinion in the silent spiral model lies in the weakness of human beings who are afraid of isolation, but fear of isolation alone will not affect the formation of public opinion. It is mainly when individuals perceive that their opinions on a certain topic are consistent with (or inconsistent with) the strong opinions in the environment, fear of isolation This variable item will have an effect.

    From the perspective of psychology, the strong opinions in society are getting stronger and stronger, even stronger than the actual situation, and the weak opinions are getting weaker and weaker, even weaker than the actual situation. The process of dynamic operation is in a spiral.

     From the point of view of mass communication, people usually think that the opinions presented in the mass media represent the thoughts of most people.

     And to my surprise, the end of this movie is not the old fashion that the USA saved the world again. The result is so simple--the earth is destroyed, and just this. Is this implicate that the USA will get ruined itself by this ridiculous way? I don't know. But all in all, at the end, as an egg, these bunch of capitalists go to a new planet, and immediately the ex-president gotten attacked by alien creature. This remind me one sentence.  

We can survive well without capitalists, but capitalists cannot survive without us.
